Crafco Fiber Asphalt Sealant 540 is a blend of high quality polymer modified asphalt sealant and polyester fibers that complies to Ohio DOT specification ƒHot-Applied Crack Seal 423 Type IV sealant. The sealant offers advantages of both types of modification systems. Polymer modification adds adhesion, low temperature flexibility and high temperature pick-up resistance, while fiber modification improves wearing resistance and application characteristics. Fiber Asphalt Sealant 540 is supplied in solid blocks in polyethylene lined boxes. To use, the sealant is simply removed from the boxes, placed in an appropriate melter applicator unit, heated to application temperature and then applied to the pavement. Fiber Asphalt Sealant 540 is used for filling cracks in asphalt and concrete pavements in moderate to cold climates. VOC = 0 g/l.
